Well, the little fella trying to pop out in these photographs is now two months old, probably growing teeth and starting to chew bubble gum. His name is Luke, and this is my cousin, Dave, and his beautiful wife, Lyndsay, photographed on the family ranch just outside of Kamloops, BC.
This is officially my first maternity photoshoot, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t as hard as what it would be like now trying to photograph the little fellow that came out. Lyndsay was definitely the instigator of these photographs and she is also a pretty damn good photographer herself, so she helped make this easy for me by being super prepared and motivated.
Just before this shoot I was with the whole family stuffing myself on delicious foods and spirits (all day), and it was definitely hard to get up off the nice lawn chair and step away from the desserts. But, I’m really glad that we did because shooting these photographs was as easy as cutting some chocolate cake.
