Magic Nymph, Golden Lake | Lola Frost

Posted on 25th October 2014 in fashion, risque

Lola Frost’s (fb, twitter, tumblr, instagram) and mine’s relationship is one of artist and muse, of collaborator and inspiration. We have pushed each other numerous times before, and I can only hope it will continue.

I’ve had the idea to tie branches into the hair of a magical nymph for a while, and finally when Lola and I drove up the Sunshine Coast of BC we found the perfect spot to dig into this.

With the summer’s end fast approaching, it felt like everything was the warm color of gold.

Oh, and did I mention she had long ass braids? Those were done by by Kristi Johanson of East Vanity Parlour (fb)!

Rogers Pass of the Rocky Mountains from Kamloops to Calgary

Posted on 14th September 2011 in adventure, nature

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity, and time, to head through the Rockies, once through Rogers Pass, which means Golden, Lake Louise, and Banff. On the way back, I took the Crowsnest Pass which was much further South, and much warmer!

This post will focus on the pass from Kamloops to Calgary, although the first picture is at the peak of the Coquihalla Highway, from Vancouver to Kamloops, but it’s a pretty one!

Summer Solstice in Gastown, Vancouver

Posted on 23rd June 2011 in adventure, events

On June 21st Vancouver hosted the Fete De La Musique in the historic Gastown district of Vancouver, BC. I decided it was in my best interest to go wander around and see what I could find.

The night started off meeting a friend, Indigo, where she was doing a live painting at the grand opening of Hive Gallery on Hastings across from the W2 building. Always a bright soul, and as I departed from I couldn’t help but feel happy; I had my Instax camera with me and had taken a shot a little earlier which, due to the frame of the camera cracking, had majorly over exposed, but Indigo said it was her favorite and I gave it to her.

As I wandered the streets, I was fortunate enough to catch the sun as it hit some of the high rises surrounding the district, giving off a golden flash of light which was brilliant.

This is my Vancouver.
