Sculptures of Stockholm, Sweden

Posted on 1st March 2015 in explored, wandering

I always wish I knew or could remember the characters and stories that belong with each sculpture I come across and photograph. I know that a lot of them have information at their base… Perhaps it’s this public art that really makes a person feel like their walking with history.

As I wandered the ancient streets of Stockholm, Sweden I came across these pieces. Some were sculptures, some were probably moldings, and others were maybe pounded our of iron or copper. I distinctly remember saying to myself that I was going to focus on capturing as many arch details above doors as I could.

I’d love to hear if you recognize any of these in the comments below, and perhaps sharing the stories of them.

Architecture of Stockholm, Sweden

Posted on 28th January 2015 in architecture

When I arrived in Stockholm in early September all I had was my flip-flops. I had worn holes in my shoes in Budapest and left them on the corner for some lucky soul in need of some red skate shoes.

When I got off the plane, it was cold. Then it rained. My first order of business was to find myself some leather soles.

I think it’s clear in the photographs how brisk the city was, which I really appreciated in it. It led to the clean feeling, the put together, well kempt style of the city. Further, the giant stone buildings, sculptures, and details all around the city made me feel like I was walking along Viking turf.

Nordic.

Gallery of Landscapes

Posted on 12th January 2015 in adventure, explored, nature, wandering

Why not cure this severe wanderlust with a collection of landscapes I’ve shot from 2012 to 2014… That’ll do the trick, right?

Many of these photographs have had a whole fotoblog dedicated to them. If you do a search on the left you should be able to find more about the location. Some of these I haven’t released until now.

Please don’t hesitate to ask questions about any of the journeys in the comments below or email me. I love to share stories.
